Some up-to-date details of assessment provider practices added to parliament.uk following Work and Pensions Committee evidence session in May 2022 where contractors set out their views about how the assessment process for health-related benefits could be improved.

Each provider (IAS, Maximus and Capita) has supplied further written evidence on matters including;
> audio recording;
> use of ‘clinical markers’ in the assessment process;
> workloads for individual HCPs;
> number and qualifications of HCPs
> the proportion of paper-based, face-to-face etc assessments;
> seeking additional evidence;
> waiting times; and
> staff dismissals.
