  • CIN Starting Pitcher #33
Sheffield was one of the top pitching prospects in baseball just a few years ago, but has completely fallen off the map. The 28-year-old former first-round pick hasn’t appeared in the majors since the 2022 campaign and split last year between the Mariners and Braves at the Triple-A level, posting a bloated 7.63 ERA, 1.89 WHIP and 60/46 K/BB ratio across 63 2/3 innings (24 appearances, 12 starts). He represents a relatively low-risk reclamation project for Cincinanti’s player development engine.
  • NYM Starting Pitcher #34
It became apparent several weeks ago that Senga, who has been on the shelf since spring training due to a right shoulder issue, simply wasn’t making enough progress to return to New York prior to the All-Star break. The 31-year-old righty has been in a bit of a holding pattern working on his throwing mechanics and won’t progress to throwing a bullpen session until next week.
  • PHI Starting Pitcher #55
As expected, Suárez will take the ball across the pond against the division-rival Mets after making it through a couple throwing sessions this week without any issues. The 28-year-old southpaw suffered a left thumb contusion last weekend when he was hit by a comebacker. The 28-year-old southpaw has been phenomenal this season, posting a major league-leading 1.70 ERA, 0.80 WHIP and 79/16 K/BB ratio across 74 innings (12 starts).
  • NYM Center Fielder #6
Marte is back in right field and batting fifth for Saturday’s London Series opener after getting a couple extra days of rest after sitting out Wednesday’s series finale against the Nationals due to right knee soreness.
  • LAD Starting Pitcher #28
The positive news here for fantasy managers is that Miller averaged 97.4 mph on his four-seam fastball in this one and was able to generate nine swinging strikes, nearly all of them on his secondary offerings. He struck out two and also issued a pair of walks, needing 85 pitches (50 strikes) to get through four-plus frames. Barring something unexpected, the hard-throwing 25-year-old righty should return to Los Angeles at some point next week.
  • BAL Catcher
Basallo homered for the second consecutive contest on Friday evening and is now up to 10 round-trippers on the season through just 51 contests for Double-A Bowie. The 19-year-old top prospect is heating up at the dish with hits in six consecutive games since June 1 while also going deep three times during that span. He’s arguably one of the top prospects in the entire fantasy landscape, even if he’s more likely to ultimately wind up at first base in the big leagues due to the presence of franchise cornerstone Adley Rutschman.
  • NYY Catcher #96
Ramirez went 3-for-5 with six RBI on Friday evening as he’s up to 15 homers this season across just 49 games. The 22-year-old backstop has put together an extremely impressive breakthrough this year in the upper minors, batting .273/.372/.536 with 15 homers and 12 steals already. The biggest question for New York is how everything shakes out long-term with fellow top catching Ben Rice already at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
  • COL Starting Pitcher
Dollander was charged with an unearned run on Friday night, allowing just five hits and one walk over seven nearly-flawless frames as he continues to impress this season in his professional debut. The 22-year-old former University of Tennessee standout won’t be faced with taming Coors Field for at least a hyperspace jump or two, but he’s looked phenomenal this season with a 2.91 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 68/19 K/BB ratio across 46 1/3 innings (nine starts) in the lower minors. He’s an extremely risky pitching prospect given the environmental factors beyond his control, but he’s pitching really well at the moment.
  • SEA Right Fielder
Montes leads the minors with 62 RBI following Friday’s two-run blast -- his 11th round-tripper of the year. The 19-year-old prodigy holds an astronomical .337/.432/.561 triple-slash line across 248 plate appearances this season and is rapidly morphing into on the the top prospects in the entire fantasy landscape and projects as a potential impact four-category contributor down the road. There’s a legitimate shot he finishes the year at a top-10 fantasy prospect for dynasty purposes, if he’s not there already.
  • BOS Right Fielder #17
O’Neill walked off the field with Boston’s training staff in the third inning of Friday’s contest at Guaranteed Rate Field after experiencing right knee discomfort earlier in the game while catching a routine fly out. The 28-year-old slugger returned earlier this week from the injured list following a nine-game absence due to right knee inflammation. He told reporters afterwards that he’s hopeful this latest incident won’t require another trip to the injured list, but it’s a concerning development that he’s still having knee issues. There should be a decision on his status prior to Saturday’s showdown in Chicago.
