The upcoming Mike Tyson series at Hulu has found its lead actor. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Trevante Rhodes--who starred in the Oscar-winning drama Moonlight--will play Iron Mike in the limited series.

Iron Mike, which is the name of the show, is one of two new Tyson projects in the works, with the other being a scripted series with Jamie Foxx in the role and Martin Scorsese producing. That show, however, doesn't have a network attached yet.

Hulu's show is an eight-episode drama that looks into the "wild, tragic, and controversial life and career" of the boxer. The show is produced by the team that made the Margot Robbie figure skating movie I, Tonya. Craig Gillespie, who directed I, Tonya, is directing Iron Mike. Gillespie's latest project is the Disney movie Cruella, which he also directed.

Tyson himself is not involved, though THR's sources say he was "briefed" earlier this year. Publicly, Tyson said Hulu's show is a "tone-deaf cultural misappropriation" of his life.

Tyson is a boxing giant and also a controversial figure. He was found guilty of rape in 1992. As part of his comeback tour, Tyson fought Evander Holyfield and bit off a part of his ear.

In addition to fighting, Tyson now operates a marijuana company called Tyson Ranch.
