Eric McClure’s fiancée shares heartbreaking message after NASCAR driver’s death

Former NASCAR driver Eric McClure’s fiancée, Keira Brinegar Tibbs, shared a touching message after news of his passing on Sunday. McClure was 42.

“Eric, I will love you until my last breath…. please wait for me until then. I love you more,” Tibbs wrote on Facebook alongside two intimate photos of the couple.

In a separate Facebook post, Tibbs shared a short video that showed McClure saying “I love you” with the caption: “How can he be gone… I love him so so much. Till the end of time I will love you Eric Wayne McClure.”

Both McClure’s family and NASCAR confirmed his passing in statements on Sunday. Though, neither included details about the tragedy or a cause of death.

An autopsy is pending, according to the Washington County sheriff’s office.

In 2013, McClure said he had been diagnosed with acute renal failure. In 2019, he shared that he was being treated for kidney failure in both kidneys.

McClure is survived by his fiancée and seven daughters he shared with his estranged wife, Miranda McClure. He was the nephew of former Cup team owner Larry McClure.
