NBC Universal's streaming platform Peacock is set to air a series of live shows covering this summer's Tokyo Olympics. There will be four shows every day throughout the Games.

The shows will be produced by NBC Olympics, and will start on July 24, the day after the opening ceremony. They will be live studio-based shows that will allow fans to catch up and follow the day's sporting events, and will be available for free on Tokyo NOW, Peacock’s specialist Olympics channel.

Peacock has released details of the four daily shows. They are:

  • Tokyo LIVE: Live coverage of some of the day's Olympic events, including live competitions, interviews, highlights, medal ceremonies, and athlete profiles. Streams from 6 AM to 11 AM ET daily.
  • Tokyo Gold: An hour-long highlight program looking at the most compelling performances of the day. Streams 11am to noon ET daily as competition concludes in Tokyo.
  • On Her Turf at the Olympics: Celebrates female athletes with features, interviews, and timely coverage. Streams Monday to Saturday from 7 PM to 7:30 PM ET and Sunday from 6 PM to 6:30 PM ET.
  • Tokyo Tonight: A primetime show will put the viewer in the middle of the competition day in Tokyo with highlights, interviews, features, and live reports. Streams Monday to Saturday from 7:30 PM to midnight ET and Sunday from 6:30 PM to 11 PM ET.

In a statement, Rebecca Chatman, Vice President and Coordinating Producer, NBC Olympics, said, "We are excited to have the Olympics featured on Peacock. From live coverage to vibrant new content, these shows complement our already extensive linear coverage and will stand out on this growing platform."

In related news, Peacock became the exclusive streaming home for WWE content from last month. WrestleMania, WWE Icons, and Steve Austin's Broken Skull Sessions are now exclusive to Peacock, as are historical WWE events.
