Three Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba specials are released today, April 15, on Funimation. The specials recap the events of the hit anime series ahead of the US premiere of the movie Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train.

The specials are titled Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Sibling's Bond, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mt. Natagumo Arc, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba The Hashira Meeting Arc. The specials are edited from the 26 episodes of the show's first season, which will allow fans to get up-to-date with the story. Funimation has also stated that the specials contain new footage.

The three specials are available to stream on Funimation in the US, Canada, UK, and Ireland in both subtitled and dubbed editions. In addition, they are available on Animelab in Australia and New Zealand.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train hits US theaters on April 23. Since its domestic release in October last year, it has become the most successful movie ever released in Japan, overtaking Hayao Miyazaki's Spirited Away, which held the record for 19 years. It is also the 16th biggest foreign language film ever released worldwide.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is adapted from Koyoharu Gotouge's hugely popular manga series, which ran for 23 volumes between 2016 and 2020. The manga and anime are set in Taishō-era Japan and focus on the war between humans and demons. Season 2 of the anime is expected later this year.
