THE HACKNEY PRESCRIBED ROUTES AND 20 MPH SPEED LIMIT (AMENDMENT NO.12) ORDER 2020

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 3rd July 2020 the Council of the London Borough of Hackney made the above-mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended.

2. The general effect of the Orders will be as follows;

Kent Street

a) Introduce a road closure in both directions except for pedal cyclists at a point in line with the western kerbline of Queensbridge Road.

Dunloe Street

a) Introduce a 9m car club bay 8m east of the western wall of 16 Queensbridge Road.

b) Introduce a road closure in both directions except for pedal cyclists at a point in line with the western kerbline of Queensbridge Road.

c) Introduce a road closure in both directions except for pedal cyclists at a point in line with the eastern kerbline of Queensbridge Road.

Queensbridge Road

a) Introduce ‘at any time’ waiting restrictions 26m north of the northern kerbline of Hackney Road (on both sides) northwards for a distance of 43m.

b) Introduce ‘at any time’ waiting & loading restrictions 114m north of the northern kerbline of Hackney Road (on both sides) northwards for a distance 117m.

c) Introduce ‘at any time’ waiting & loading restrictions 29m south of the southern kerbline of Whiston Road (on both sides) southwards for 134m.

d) Introduce a southbound mandatory cycle lane 104m south of the southern kerbline of Whiston Road southwards for a distance of 58m.

3. Copies of the Orders, which will come into force on 13th July 2020, other relevant Orders, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders, can be inspected for a period of six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made. Currently such documents can only be requested for inspection by email request made to streetworks@hackney.gov.uk and quoting the above TT reference number.

4. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Orders, or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders are made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
