Watch Tom Holland Get A COVID-19 Test As He Heads Back To Work On A Mystery Project

The Spider-Man actor gets a mouth swab as he prepares to start filming something--but is it the Uncharted movie?

Actor Tom Holland is seemingly getting back to work on a new project. The Spider-Man actor recently posted a video to his Instagram story that showed him getting what appears to be a coronavirus test. He did not seem to enjoy the throat swab very much, as you can see in the video.

It appears Holland was getting tested as part of a health and safety protocol for an upcoming project. It's unclear what that might be. However, you can hear people speaking in German in this video, which might provide a clue.

Holland told Jimmy Kimmel in April that he was all set to start filming the Uncharted movie in Germany when production got shut down due to COVID-19. Now, just because someone in his Instagram story is speaking in what sounds like German, that doesn't necessarily mean this swab test was for the Uncharted movie.

Movie reporter Charles Murphy said Sony was planning to resume production on the Uncharted movie in Germany in mid-to-late July, so the timing does match up. Murphy reported that Sony felt more confident in resuming production in Germany due to the relatively low number of COVID-19 cases there.

The Uncharted movie has been in the works for a decade already, shuffling through seven different directors and numerous scriptwriters. The cast is now set, however, with Holland attached to play a young Nathan Drake and Mark Wahlberg as his mentor, Victor "Sully" Sullivan. Oscar nominee Antonio Banderas also has a role in the movie alongside Sophia Ali (Grey's Anatomy) as the female lead. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina actress Tati Gabrielle has also come aboard in a major role.

The Uncharted film will be directed by Ruben Fleischer, who previously directed the Zombieland movies and Venom for Sony.
