February is slowly drawing to a close. With just under a week before March sweeps in, it's time to take a look forward at what video games are on the horizon.
We're still very much in the slow season as far video games go, though February did have some excellent new releases (check out February's big list of releases here) like Shadow of the Colossus and Monster Hunter World.
March has a bunch of smaller indie games, some ports and re-releases, and at least a handful of hotly anticipated sequels in both new and long-running franchises. Here's the big list of games, followed by my top picks for what to keep an eye on.

What To Keep An Eye On
So that's a long list with far too many games to ever possibly play, let alone keep track of. I've plucked out a few of the ones that I'm interested in, and I'm definitely curious which ones are on here that arne't on my watch-list.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2
Warhammer: Vermintide was a cool cooperative fantasy shooter based on the Warhammer brand. I admit, I got into the game a little late and always felt like I was one step behind other players. This time around I want to jump in head-first. In the sequel, players take on the Chaos Army and Skaven horde. Much of the game is set in sprawling outdoor areas rather than dungeons and cramped streets. The first game's five heroes return, and can choose 15 different careers with various talent trees as they level up. Here's a trailer:
It looks excellent, I have to say. Though a part of me wishes the same game was being made as a single-player outing with optional co-op. C'est la vie.
Devil May Cry HD Collection
The first three games in the long-running action series Devil May Cry return in HD to PS4, Xbox One and PC. This isn't the first time this set has been re-released. Xbox 360 and PS3 got an HD Collection release in 2012. This new package doesn't look much different, but who cares? These are fantastic games even if the remaster isn't the prettiest. Devil May Cry 4 saw its own HD release not long ago, so it's not included in this collection.
Assassin's Creed Rogue: Remastered
Speaking of remasters, Assassin's Creed: Rogue is an interesting entry in the Assassin's Creed franchise. It was released alongside Assassin's Creed Unity back in 2014. While Unity came out on the brand-new PS4 and Xbox One, Rogue released on PS3 and Xbox 360. That means a lot of people missed the game, which served as a sequel to the excellent Black Flag. I'm really excited for the re-release because I was one of those people who missed it back in 2014 and I absolutely adore Black Flag.
Sea Of Thieves
Microsoft's biggest Xbox One (and PC) exclusive of the year, Sea of Thieves is a cooperative first-person-pirate game that should be really interesting to watch. My time in the beta didn't leave me dying for more, but I can definitely see how this will become a big hit with the right kind of gamers. I can also see some very interesting live-streaming opportunities arise, so keep your eyes on this one. It's a weird game for the Xbox platform, but I'm glad to see Microsoft backing something so different.
Valkyria Chronicles 4
I've only ever played Valkyria Chronicles 3, but what a wonderful game that was. Turn-based strategy in a fictional anime version of WWII (the Second Europan War in the game.) You run a tank squad and engage in various tactical battles against the bad guys. For fans of games like XCOM, it's a real treat. There's also a decent story to follow with lots of great characters. The sequel follows new characters but sticks with the same tactical gameplay and setting. One of my most-anticipated March releases for sure.

A Way Out
From the developer of the excellent and surprisingly poignant Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons, A Way Out takes the concept of split-screen co-op to a whole new level. You play with a friend in split-screen even online, and each story plays out at the same time. So one character might be moving around a room while the other is in the middle of a cut-scene (and you see the other player moving around the room in the cut-scene...) It's a prison break story about two men who escape and the journey that follows. We'll see if it's any good but it sure sounds different.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom
I loved almost everything about the Studio Ghibli game Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch except the tedious combat. The sequel is a whole new story with a new cast in a new world with all new combat systems, so I have very high hopes indeed. If you're a fan of Studio Ghibli movies like Ponyo or My Neighbor Totoro, definitely keep an eye on this one.
Far Cry 5
I love the Far Cry games for one simple reason: You get to go do what you want and it's fun. You can unleash wild animals on unsuspecting guards. You can take down bases with stealth or with guns blazing. You can fly planes or drive jeeps or go on foot. There's just no limit to the kinds of wacky approaches you can take to solve problems. Beyond that, at least since Far Cry 3 we've seen great, compelling villains that really steal the show every time and Far Cry 5, set in Montana with a crazy cult leader as the main antagonist, looks perfect. It may not be a revolution in the series, but I can't wait to play it. Besides, the game's DLC sounds really great also.
Agony
If you've been craving a good horror game, look no further than Agony. Or at least it sounds like a good horror game. Set in hell with no memory of your past, you have to navigate the underworld and its denizens. You have the unique ability to possess demons, allowing you to somehow survive the horrors of your predicament. You can watch a rather graphic trailer here.
