Dorchester’s Port Norfolk would get 150 condos under new plan

A new filing with the Boston Planning & Development Agency clarifies a developer’s plans for a 3.6-acre site on Dorchester’s Port Norfolk, just across the Neponset River from Quincy.

South Boston-based City Point Capital would construct a 150-unit condo complex, a 25-room hotel, a 4,000-square-foot restaurant, 185 parking spaces, and boat storage big enough for 75 vessels.

To do so, the developer would demolish the MarineMax Russo Boston buildings on Port Norfolk’s Ericsson Street. City Point would also renovate an existing 75-slip marina, including with a refreshment stand and public restrooms.

Its plans, too, call for 2 acres of outdoor space, a dog park, a tidal garden, a game court, a public fishing pier, a kayak launch, maybe even a pedestrian bridge across Pine Neck Creek to Tenean Beach—basically a ground-up neighborhood within an existing neighborhood.
