Stunning 23-Story Office Tower Coming to Reston

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors has unanimously approved the 330-foot building.

A huge 23-story office building is coming to Reston that will tower over everything else currently standing.

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved the 330-foot office building at 1760 Reston Parkway, according to a Washington Business Journal report.

The 418,000-square-foot building would be the tallest structure in Reston, standing 125 feet taller than any other building in the area.

Akridge and RTC Partnership LLC are developing the building at what is now One Reston Town Center, replacing a much smaller office building and parking lot.

Officials first approved the project back in 2012. Since that time, Akridge has joined RTC Partnership, and added a six-story atrium lobby, among other features, according to the report.

The Reston Town Center website indicates that the building will have 15,000 square feet of retail space, a "dramatic" six-story atrium, eight high-speed elevators and three parking spots for every 1,000 square feet.

Construction will begin when a third of the building has been leased.
