Meanwhile, on Easter Sunday, a service of commemoration was held at the ONE Monument in Pery Square which was organized by the Patrick Sarsfield Branch who were be joined by their colleagues from the Lower Ormond Branch in Nenagh and representatives of the Naval Association.

In previous years, the ceremonies were organised by The Limerick Easter Rising Commemoration Committee of whom the late Frank Prendergast and the late Peg Morgan were dedicated members.

Services started at 10am Mass in The Dominican Church, during which military honours were be rendered. Following Mass, the colour party marched to the ONE Monument in Pery Square where there was a service of remembrance during which wreaths were be laid and The Last Post sounded.
