Mayor Bloomberg is anteing up $50 million to black out coal.
Acting in his capacity as president of Bloomberg Philanthropies, his self-funded foundation, the billionaire mayor yesterday traveled to Virginia to present the grant to the Sierra Club.
The club wants to replace many of the nation’s coal-fired power plants with cleaner energy.
