This 1971 Dodge Demon 340 two-door coupe was refinished in yellow with black stripes prior to the sellerโs 2022 acquisition, and subsequent work involved rebuilding the replacement 340ci V8 and fitting the rear end with an Auburn Gears limited-slip differential and a Moser Engineering 3.55:1 gear set. The exhaust system was also replaced, power steering components were overhauled, and the black interior was refreshed. Shifting is through a replacement four-speed manual transmission, and additional equipment includes Rallye-style 15โณ wheels, front disc brakes, dual hood scoops, and a rear wing in addition to a Bluetooth-enabled AM/FM stereo and front bucket seats. This Demon 340 is now offered with service records and a clean Indiana title in the sellerโs name.
Finished from the factory in Citron Yella (GY3), the car was refinished under prior ownership and has black side stripes and Demon badging. The front bumper has been re-chromed, and the black hood has dual scoops and pins. A rear wing is also fitted.
Rallye-style 15โณ wheels are mounted with 215/60 front and 255/60 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Stopping power is provided by front disc and rear drum brakes. The brake booster and master cylinder were rebuilt under current ownership, and the power steering pump and box were rebuilt.
The refreshed cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl. Work involved powder-coating the dashboard frame and replacing the kick panels and various trim pieces. The AM/FM radio was overhauled to enable Bluetooth connectivity, and the center dash speaker was replaced.
The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a refurbished instrument panel that houses a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The five-digit odometer was reset and currently shows 783 miles. The trip odometer does not work. Total mileage is unknown.
The replacement 340ci V8 was bored .030โณ over and rebuilt under current ownership. A custom camshaft is fitted, and the radiator and heater box were refurbished.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a replacement four-speed manual transmission, and the rear end is said to have been rebuilt with an Auburn Gears limited-slip differential and Moser Engineering 3.55:1 gear set. The exhaust system was also replaced.
