A massive Russian drone attack struck Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city, on Wednesday night, injuring at least 12 people, including a 12-year-old girl, according to local authorities and emergency services.

Over 117 emergency personnel were deployed to combat the fires and assist victims. One of the largest blazes, covering 2,500 square metres, erupted at a production facility, with firefighting efforts continuing into the night.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that it intercepted 42 out of 86 Russian drones, while 26 others failed to reach their targets due to electronic countermeasures. However, widespread destruction was reported across several regions.
