Severance Season 2 Finale: The Most Convincing Theories

Dylan Took The Elevator Down

Dylan is on his way downstairs to become a test subject, just like Gemma. Following Irv’s cryptic directions to the mysterious downward-only elevator, he’s about to dive headfirst into the unknown. But here’s the twist—he won’t just be another experiment. Dylan is going to play a key role in helping Gemma.

Ricken: A Secret Lumon Agent?

One of the wildest theories suggests that Ricken is actually a Lumon plant OR an Eagen, secretly monitoring Mark outside the office.  As Mark’s most trusted confidant, Ricken holds exactly the kind of influence Lumon might exploit. While evidence is thin (aside from his obliviousness and an unsettling number of goat decorations), this twist would highlight just how far Lumon will go to see “Cold Harbor” completed.

Mark Will Fully Reintegrate

The mechanics of reintegration in Severance remain a mystery, but Mark is clearly on the verge of breaking through. Both his Innie and Outie have started noticing reality blurring, and he’s even had fleeting visions of Gemma. With Cobel seemingly guiding him, it feels inevitable that he’ll succeed.

Helly Is Pregnant With Mark’s Baby

One of the most popular Severance theories right now is that Helly might be secretly pregnant—and there’s quite a bit of evidence to back it up. Mark has been with Helly twice (including once as Helena), and the show has repeatedly leaned into baby-related imagery, hinting at a possible twist that could change everything.

What Could “Cold Harbor” Potentially Bring?

Heading into Cold Harbor, plenty of mysteries remain. What we do know: Mark (Adam Scott) is the only one who can complete the Cold Harbor file, likely tied to his lost wife, Gemma (Dichen Lachman). Lumon CEO Jame Eagan (Michael Sidberry) is eagerly awaiting this moment—along with his mysterious “revolving.”

The theory? Cold Harbor is designed to temporarily revive Kier as an Innie within Jame, fulfilling his “revolving” and making that eerie baby Kier imagery finally make sense.
