Retired police officer P. Radhakishan Rao, the fifth accused in the telephone tapping case who was lodged in prison, was granted interim bail by the Telangana High Court from December 24 to 28, to attend his father-in-law’s death anniversary rituals.

Justice K. During the period of the escort bail, the police should allow Mr. Rao to meet his family members and close relatives.

They should not disrupt the rituals in any manner and not cause any inconvenience to the family members and others attending the rituals, the judge said. The judge also instructed the prison superintendent to ensure the petitioner would not use any telephone or mobile phone during the interim bail period. The petitioner should not misuse the bail in any manner, the judge said.
