Cocktail of the week: Spin & Shake’s Take me back to London – recipe

An exotically flavoured vodka and raspberry punch

This drink combines nostalgia and adventure, and marks the shift from summer to autumn with a delightful blend of palate-pleasing flavours. The vanilla vodka provides a smooth, subtly sweet base that’s complemented by the fruity notes of raspberry liqueur and passion-fruit juice, the raspberry puree adds a burst of berry freshness, while the lemonade brings a refreshing, citrussy zing. It’s all crowned off with a toasted marshmallow garnish for a playful hint of caramelised sweetness.

Take me back to London

Serves 1

35ml vanilla vodka
15ml raspberry liqueur
50ml passion fruit juice
20ml raspberry puree
Lemonade, to top
1 toasted marshmallow, to garnish

Fill a shaker with ice, measure in the vanilla vodka, raspberry liqueur, passion fruit juice and raspberry puree, then hard shake until very well mixed and chilled. Strain into a glass – preferably a highball filled with fresh ice, then top with lemonade and give it a gentle stir. Garnish with the toasted marshmallow and serve.
