Revised guidelines for Referral process in CGHS • Revised guidelines for referral process in CGHS has been issued on 28.6.2024. • For treatment at private empanelled hospitals, the referral issued by any CGHHS Medical officer is valid for three months. One may consult two more specialists up to three specialists. A maximum of six consultations shall be allowed during the validity of three months. • No further endorsement is required for investigation and minor proceedures as advised by the specialist within the validity of three months. • However, referral is required for special investigations like CT Scan, MRI Scan PET Scan and any other investigation costing over Rs.3000 and referral is valid for three months. • Referral is valid for three months for admission in the hospital. • For unlisted investigations and treatment advised by specialist of CGHS empanelled hospitals it shall be considered by the CGHS 9AD) in case of pensioners and Head of …...more
