Uttarakhand CM condoles loss of life after collapse of debris between Sonprayag-Munkatiya

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed condolences after a debris collapse between Sonprayag-Munkatiya resulted in one death and two injuries. DEHRADUN: Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed condolences on receiving the news of loss of life from the accident caused by the collapse of debris between Sonprayag-Munkatiya on Monday evening.
According to an official release, "As soon as the information was received, SDRF, NDRF and Sector Magistrate Sonprayag were immediately dispatched for rescue."
"The rescue team reached the spot and carried out a rapid operation, in which 1 dead and 2 injured were taken out.

The injured were immediately sent to Sonprayag through ambulance for treatment," said the release.
The Chief Minister said, "We have lost a precious life in this tragic accident and said, "My condolences are with the bereaved family. The rescue operation is still going on and all possible help is being provided by the government."
Chief Minister Dhami also took to microblogging site X to post about the collapse and prayed for the further safety of the travellers.
"Very sad news was received that some passengers were buried under debris between Sonprayag-Munkatiya (Rudraprayag). The local administration, NDRF and SDRF teams are engaged in relief and rescue operations. I am also in touch with the concerned officials and monitoring the rescue operation. I pray to Baba Kedar for the safety of the travellers," read the post by CM Dhami.
