Here, we'll be discussing how to behave in the masjid, specifically concerning Tarawih prayer during the blessed month of Ramadan. Here are eight important considerations:
1. Don't Miss Isha Prayer: Remember that Tarawih is a Sunnah prayer, and Isha is an obligatory prayer. Prioritize your Isha prayer before Tarawih to fulfill your fundamental religious duties.
2. Do Not Rush: Follow the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) by avoiding rushing to the prayer. Walk to the masjid calmly, maintaining tranquility as advised by the Prophet.
3. Dress Well and Use Pleasant Fragrance: Wear your best clothes, apply perfume (excluding women at the masjid), and avoid strong-smelling foods to respect the sacred space of the masjid.
4. Turn Phones to Silent: Silence your phones to prevent distractions during prayer. Maintain focus on your Salah and the recitation of the Imam without disruptive ringtones.
5. Avoid Overeating During Iftar: Overeating can lead to laziness, tiredness, and discomfort during Tarawih. Eat moderately during Iftar to ensure you can stand and concentrate during the prayer.
6. Focus on Tarawih Prayer: The main purpose of Tarawih is to listen to the Quran. Focus on the recitation of the Imam, avoid zoning out, and read the translation of the verses beforehand to enhance your understanding.
7. Finish Salah with the Imam: Stay until the Imam finishes the Tarawih prayer. The Prophet mentioned that whoever prays Qiyam with the Imam until the end will receive the reward of a whole night of prayer.
8. Park Correctly: Be considerate of others when parking. Blocking entrances disrupts the peace and concentration of those attending the masjid. Follow the Prophet's example of considering the needs of others.
