Sarfira Box Office : Akshay Kumar starrer collects its lowest amount on second Monday; earns just Rs 25 lakh

Akshay Kumar's Sarfira saw a major drop on its second Monday, earning just Rs 25 lakh, an 80% decline. Competing with Kalki 2898 AD and Bad Newz, Sarfira's total stands at Rs 21.45 crore. Despite recent flops, Akshay's upcoming films include Sky Force, Housefull 5, and Welcome to the Jungle.

Akshay Kumar’s latest release Sarfira witnessed a major crash in its collection on second Monday, as it collected its lowest amount ever. The film, which is an official remake of Tamil film Soorarai Pottru directed by Sudha Kongara, earned just Rs 25 lakh on Monday - a huge 80 % drop from its Sunday collection of Rs 1.2 crore. The fall on the second Monday has been much greater than the fall on first Monday, which was about 72 %.

The total collection of the film now stands at Rs 21.45 crore.
Sarfira was facing heat anyway from Kalki 2898 AD, and the latest release Bad Newz starring Vicky Kaushal, Ammy Virk and Triptii Dimri. However, the fate of these films have also been sketchy on Monday, as Kalki dropped by 80% to collect Rs 1.65 crore, and Bad Newz dropped by 68 % to collect Rs 3.5 crore.
Sarfira joins the long list of not so successful films of Akshay Kumar like Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Mission Raniganj, Selfiee, Ram Setu and Raksha Bandhan.It clashed with veteran actor Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 at the box office, while the south superstar’s film has also been struggling but it still managed to earn Rs 1.16 crore on Monday.Akshay has a string of strong films lined up for the future from Sky Force to Housefull 5 to Welcome to the Jungle.
