We are looking for an organised individual with good communication skills to be a champion for bus use in County Durham and the wider North East. This post is required until 31 March 2026.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
You will directly engage with local people, educational establishments, community groups and employers to encourage more people to use the bus, tackle the negative perception of bus use amongst non-users, improve perceptions of safety and customer experience.

WHAT WILL I NEED?
You will have a NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant subject or have substantial relevant experience.
You should have experience in sustainable travel awareness and promotion with the confidence and experience in giving presentations to groups.
You will have the ability to write detailed reports and briefing documents.
It is essential that you are able to meet the transport requirements of the post.

HYBRID WORKING
Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
