-Treatment of special allowance for fixation of pay on promotion to the PO & RMS Accountant • The DOP vide its letter No.02-17/2022-PAP dated 7.2.2023 informed that a proposal for treating special allowance at par with special pay under Rule 9(25) to Po & RMS Accountant is under consideration at Dept of Expenditure. • As per the proposal the cut off of 22.4.1998 shall be removed and applicable to all the similarly placed employees till 31.12.2015. • The Department sought the financial implication from all the circles . • As per this proposal if a PO &RMS Accountant drawing special allowance continuously for three years that will be taken for pay fixation on TBOP/MACP. • The fate of the proposal is yet to be known. In the meanwhile the Directorate vide its letter No 02-04/2023-PAP ordered to implement the same to Sri Sanjeev Kumar and 12 others who are parties of the OA 4474/2018 • Accordingly, all these 13 got pay fixation taking into account o
