Paige Spiranac seemed excited that a super fan got her name tattooed on his arm.
However, the same can’t be said about some on the internet, who trolled the individual in question.
Identified as “Tony” by Spiranac on social media, the roast of the fan began when the longtime golf influencer posted a photo on X that featured her holding up Tony’s arm to show off his new ink.
“@xgolfamerica event where he asked me to sign his arm. An hour later he comes back with it tattooed on him!” Spiranac wrote Monday of the event, which took place at X-Golf in Los Angeles.
That’s when the jabs at Tony started piling up.
“Lol, when you try too hard,” one person wrote.
“Men be living in some desperate times,” another said.
Some were curious as to what Tony may tell his current or future partner after they discover Spiranac’s name tattooed on the inside of his left arm.
“Well, at least Tony will never forget that day,” the X-Golf account wrote with a crying-laughing emoji.
Spiranac met the fan at an event for X-Golf, a state-of-the-art indoor golf facility that she is an ambassador for.
It’s been a big year so far for the former pro golfer.
Spiranac appeared in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s 60th-anniversary issue, which was released in May, as a cover model and returning legend — including fellow veterans Tyra Banks and Kate Upton.
She celebrated the launch of the 2024 edition of the iconic magazine in New York and Florida last month, mingling with fellow SI Swimsuit model and star LSU gymnast Olivia “Livvy” Dunne.
