--Filling up MTS vacancies under GDS Seniority Cum fitness quota for the vacancy year 2023 • The DOP vide its Notification of MTS Recruitment Rules 2023 dated 30.8.2023 provided 50 percent MTS vacancies for GDS under Seniority Cum fitness with five years service as on 1st January of the recruitment Year. • As per the Modalities for unification of MTS cadre the GDS promoted under seniority cum fitness will be eligible only to the Recruiting unit. A separate post will be made on Unification of MTS cadre. • Kerala CPMG sought clarification vide his letter dated 21.3.2024 that the GDS transferred to other division after 1.1.2023 is eligible for promotion to MTS under the seniority quoto of the old division as on 1.1.2023. • The DOP clarified that in such cases if one completes 5 years service as on 1.1.2023 and comes under the zone of consideration but transferred to other division, his case should be considered for MTS promotion of the old division …...more
