BENGALURU: A special court in the city for elected representatives granted bail to Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Friday in a defamation case and adjourned the hearing to July 30. The case was registered against Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah, deputy CM DK Shivakumar, Rahul and others by a BJP worker for sponsoring an advertisement ahead of assembly polls last year accusing the then BJP govt in state of indulging in large-scale corruption.
On June 1, Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar had appeared before court in connection with the case and Rahul, through his advocate, had sought time for appearance citing his busy political schedule.
