In the 2019 parliamentary elections, the constituency witnessed robust participation, with a total of 1,655,870 electors exercising their democratic franchise. This marked an increase from the 1,496,859 electors recorded in 2014, indicative of the growing engagement of citizens in shaping the political discourse of Anand.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) maintained its dominance in both elections, with Patel Mitesh Rameshbhai (Bakabhai) emerging victorious in 2019. His victory was remarkable, securing 633,097 votes and reaffirming the BJP's resonance with the electorate.
In 2014, Dilip Patel's victory for the BJP was decisive, garnering 490,829 votes. His Indian National Congress (INC) counterpart, Solanki Bharatbhai Madhavsinh, trailed behind, reflecting the BJP's stronghold in the region.
Fast forward to 2019, Patel Mitesh Rameshbhai's electoral triumph continued the BJP's legacy, with a significant victory margin of 197,718 votes. Bharatbhai Madhavsinh Solanki from the INC stood second with 435,379 votes, indicating the enduring presence of both political parties in the electoral fray.
