NEW DELHI: The
Election Commission of India announced the dates for 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Manipur on Saturday.
The Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar announced that the polling for Lok Sabha elections will be held in 7 phases from April 19 to June 1 and counting of votes on 4th June.

In Outer Manipur, reserved for scheduled tribes and with 1,022,099 electors, Naga Peoples Front's Lorho S Pfoze emerged victorious, defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Houlim Shokhopao Mate. Over the years, electoral shifts have occurred in both constituencies, with varying outcomes influencing Manipur's political landscape.
Thangso Baite's wins in Outer Manipur in 2014 and 2009 highlight the constituency's significance, while Inner Manipur's electorate has also played a crucial role in shaping Manipur's political trajectory through their electoral choices.
