-Merger of SA with Postal Assistant • Discussions were made with the unions on 19.7.2023 & 26.7.2023 on the issue of merger of Sorting Asst with PA PO. • The minutes of the meeting was issued on 23.8.2023 and while going through it is clear that the department is going to implement the same unless there is a strong protest from the staff side. • Difference in nature of work – The nature of work of PA & SA are different. This proposal will provide them to switch over from one wing to other. It will provide better hand to administration to utilise them as per their capabilities. • Loss of seniority – It is optional.
