Siddharth Anand's 2024 action film 'Fighter', starring
Hrithik Roshan,
Deepika Padukone, and
Anil Kapoor was carrying high expectations. And as the shows began to open up and positive word began to spread, the film recorded a flying start, not only in India but also in North America (USA and Canada).
The film opened to US $561,603 (Rs 4.6 crore) on Thursday, making it the career best opening for Hrithik Roshan in the territory.
'Fighter' nearly doubled its collection by crossing the 1 million mark on Friday and raking in US $ 1,045,231 (Rs 8.6 crore) and the collections moved even higher on Saturday when the movie scored in $1,447,716 (Rs 12 crore) before the night shows started. Thus taking the three day total to over $3 million (Rs 25 crore).
'Fighter' marks Hrithik’s third collaboration with Siddharth Anand after 'Bang Bang' and 'War'. The film was also an acid test for Siddharth Anand as he was returning after the super success of 'Pathaan', which is currently the third highest grossing film of Indian Cinema after 'Jawan' and 'Animal'. 'Fighter' is doing wonders in India as well, having earned nearly Rs 90 crores in just three days and even fourth day’s advance sales are looking at a solid start at the box office
