Ariana Grande and boyfriend Ethan Slater spotted on dinner date during rare outing in NYC
Ariana Grande was spotted side to side with her beau.
The two-time Grammy Award winner was seen making a rare public appearance in New York City with her boyfriend, Broadway “Spamalot” star Ethan Slater, 31.
In the exclusive photos, Grande and Slater are seen both dressed in all black while taking a stroll and smiling.
A source close to Grande told Page Six exclusively, “They had dinner with her dad and family at her family’s favorite Italian restaurant.”
The “Thank U, Next” singer was wearing a black skirt paired with a fluffy black hat, black high heels and long sleeves with fluffy cuffs. Beneath the hat, her blond locks were styled in her signature ponytail.
Slater looked more casual, in a black fleece, track pants and sneakers, with his red hair looking messy. The couple dined out at a restaurant with Ariana’s father, Ed Butera, and a friend.
The couple had been romantically linked prior to both of them divorcing their respective spouses earlier this year.
Grande, who previously dated Pete Davidson and the late Mac Miller, reached a divorce settlement with her ex-husband, real estate broker Dalton Gomez, 28, in October, after two years of marriage.
Sources told Page Six that Gomez would receive an upfront payout from the former Nickelodeon star rather than monthly spousal support. According to documents obtained by the Blast, Gomez received, tax-free, $1,250,000.
It was confirmed by Page Six in July that Gomez and Grande had separated, with a source claiming “they came to the decision together.”
“They were having problems before January, but they want to remain best friends,” the source said.
Grande met Slater while the two were filming “Wicked” together (the movie is set to hit theaters in November 2024) and they’ve been romantically linked since July.
Some Grande fans have pointed out that Slater resembles the pop star’s brother, Frankie Grande.
Sources close to the couple told TMZ, which broke the news, that she and Slater — who also reportedly separated from his wife, singer Lilly Jay — started dating several months ago after meeting on the set of the movie musical.
Slater filed for divorce from Jay in July.
Some have said that Slater and Jay were already separated before he moved on with Grande, but Jay’s comments to Page Six suggest it wasn’t quite a clean break.
“[Ariana’s] the story, really. Not a girl’s girl,” Jay said. “My family is just collateral damage.”
Jay and “SpongeBob SquarePants: The Broadway Musical” star Slater have an 11-month-old son, and she’s said her focus is on raising their child and being “a good mom.”
Grande even allegedly “hung out” with Slater, Jay and their son months before Grande was romantically linked to Slater.
In August, Grande was reportedly advised by those around her to “take things slower” with Slater, amid the negative publicity from her romance with Slater.
“Ariana’s been told it’s too soon to go public with him and to take things slower,” a source told US Weekly. “She’s very aware of how she’s perceived by her fans, and she’s trying to be mature. [But] if it were up to her, she’d be seen with him tomorrow.”
