LeBron James to miss Lakers' clash against Minnesota

Los Angeles Lakers' formidable star, LeBron James, will be absent from the upcoming match against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to tendinitis plaguing his left ankle. 

LeBron's club made the announcement, confirming his unavailability for Thursday's game. This marks the third game this season that James will miss. 

It follows his extensive 37-minute playtime in the Lakers' recent 124-108 loss against the Chicago Bulls. Despite his exceptional performance, nearly securing a triple-double with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and nine assists, his persistent ankle issue has sidelined him for the upcoming crucial match.

The 38-year-old power forward expressed his thoughts following the Lakers' recent struggles, citing various factors contributing to the team's downturn. James highlighted a combination of emotional and physical fatigue stemming from the relentless grind of the season and the frustrations accompanying a string of defeats.

Maintaining an influential role within the Lakers' gameplay, James leads the team with an average of 25.2 points per game, while also excelling in assists (7.3) and steals (1.5). Despite his impactful contributions, the Lakers have faced challenges defensively, conceding the highest number of 3-pointers per game in the league since their triumph in the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament.

James' absence due to ankle tendinitis comes at a crucial juncture for the Lakers, as they aim to reverse their recent setbacks and bolster their defensive performance, especially against opponents' 3-point shooting.
