Super Bowl villain Arryn Siposs has landed a coaching role with AFL club Hawthorn.
Siposs, 31, was axed by the Philadelphia Eagles at the end of August, following a match-defining mistake in February's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
A poor Siposs punt in the final quarter of the match was returned to within touching distance of the goal line by Kadarius Toney, which helped the Chiefs scored their match-winning touchdown on the way to an epic three-point win.
Siposs had played 32 games for the Eagles but was waived by the club before this season began, was added to the practice squad before being released in September.
He unsuccessfully trialled for a spot with the Arizona Cardinals before opting to return to Melbourne with his wife and daughter with an aim to work in the AFL.

Super Bowl villain Arryn Siposs has landed a coaching role with AFL club Hawthorn ahead of next season

Before embarking on his NFL journey in the US, Siposs played 28 AFL games for St Kilda between 2011 and 2015

Siposs suffered a howler moment playing for the Philadelphia Eagles in their defeat to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII back in February, which cost his side dearly
The 31-year-old was set to coach VFL club Williamstown, but instead secured a role as a development coach with the Hawks under head coach Sam Mitchell as part of a revamped coaching unit.
'Arryn joins our club with great experience and perspective following exposure across two high performance environments, in the AFL and NFL, which we believe will benefit our program immensely,' Hawthorn General Manager of Football Rob McCartney said.
'We see him being a great fit for our talented young list and helping develop players, both on and off the field.
'We believe our entire coaching team is well balanced to continue developing our young list and giving them every opportunity to succeed.'
Before embarking on his NFL journey in the US, Siposs played 28 AFL games for St Kilda between 2011 and 2015.
His huge right boot made him an instant success in the college ranks with Auburn, before Siposs was picked up by Detroit as an undrafted free agent after the 2020 NFL draft.
He immediately experienced the cut-throat nature of American football when he was cut and re-signed on three separate occasions within seven months of joining the team.
His career was reignited when the Eagles signed him ahead of the 2021 season - only to be cut a few months ago after failing to snare a Superbowl ring alongside fellow Aussie, NRL convert Jordan Mailata.
