Dharmendra graced
Kumar Sanu's Durga Pandal at Lokhandwala in Mumbai on Wednesday. The senior actor acknowledged that he was happy to be at the pandal and added, "I have worked in Bengali films and I love Bengalis. Festivals bring people closer and spread love."
The 'Sholay' star had featured in a rare Bengali film called 'Paari' back in 1966. That movie also featured Dilip Kumar in a cameo.
Recalling the time he spent in Kolkata many decades ago, Dharmendra reminisced about his stay in Hotel Grand. When he was asked about his grandson Rajveer Deol's film Dono the octogenarian said, "If good films are made they will always touch people's hearts."
He also referenced his on-screen kiss with
Shabana Azmi in Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and added, "My grandson has kissed several times on screen. Mere ek kiss ka shor ho gaya hai (my single kiss ended up making so much noise)."
Dharmendra added that he is working with filmmaker Sriram Raghavan in the upcoming film Ikkis, which also features Agastya Nanda. Dharam ji said, "Sriram Raghavan is one of the best directors in the film industry."
