HIT-AND-RUN CRASH WITH INJURIES SB I-294 NEAR, DES PLAINES RIVER, WILLOW SPRINGS

9:09 AM ... Illinois State Police working at the scene of a hit-and-run crash with injuries at SB I-294 at MM 21 Chicago. Box truck in Lane 5 facing the wrong way; white van on the right shoulder. Driver of a black sedan with heavy front-end damage fleeing the crash scene northbound in the southbound lanes of I-294. Hit/run driver described as a Male/White with gray shirt, black shorts. He stopped the black sedan at the left shoulder and got into a black newer model BMW SUV that was headed southbound on I-294. Off-duty paramedic advised bullets (ammo), empty gun magazines, along with empty beer cans were all over the inside of the black sedan. Bullets were also all over the roadway. Police out with black sedan on left shoulder north of the crash scene.
