Manchester City have made a £70million offer to sign West Ham midfielder Lucas Paqueta, according to Brazilian publication ge globo.
West Ham are reportedly reluctant to sell the Brazilian international, and are expected to ask for more than the £70m fee that has been offered as per the Brazilian reports.
Paqueta scored four goals in his debut Premier League season and was a vital part of David Moyes' Europa Conference League team after signing from Lyon last year.
The Hammers' lack of summer transfer business had caused concerns, with Moyes' position at the London Stadium under threat ahead of his side's Premier League opener at Bournemouth on Saturday, August 12.
And the departure of Paqueta could see the club thin in the ranks in the middle of the park, having already sold Declan Rice to Arsenal in a £105m deal.

Pep Guardiola is hoping to add midfielders to his squad following the summer departures of Ilkay Gundogan and Riyad Mahrez
Paqueta has only spent one season at the London Stadium, having signed from Ligue 1 outfit Lyon last summer for a club record £53m.
Treble-winners City are looking to bolster their midfield options having lost both Ilkay Gundogan and Riyad Mahrez this summer.
They have already brought in Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea but Pep Guardiola wants further additions so his side are capable of competing on all fronts again this season.
The City boss has received a boost in defence following defeat in the Community Shield to Arsenal at the weekend.
Kyle Walker, who captained City at Wembley, has agreed to stay at the club amid significant interest from Bayern Munich in recent weeks.
City begin the defence of their Premier League title against Burnley at Turf Moor on Friday, August 11.
