After a busy offseason where they acquired a new starting quarterback, the Las Vegas Raiders enter the 2023 NFL offseason looking to make it back to the postseason for the first time since 2016.
It’s officially the start of the Jimmy Garoppolo era and the former 49er will have plenty of eyeballs on him as he takes over in Las Vegas.

Last season was the first with head coach Josh McDaniels leading the way for the Raiders. They finished 6-11 and will look to turn that around as McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler craft the team in their image.

Las Vegas Raiders AFC West Odds: (+1200 or better)
The Las Vegas Raiders have the worst odds of any AFC West team to win the division. Their poor performance last year means that sportsbooks and fans are not expecting much from them.
However, with a few game breakers on the roster in pass rusher Maxx Crosby, running back Josh Jacobs, and wide receiver Davante Adams, this team is more talented than it’s getting credit for.
While it’s still a long shot, getting more than 10-1 odds for the Raiders to win the division isn’t a bad bet. Another season in head coach Josh McDaniels’ new system should also only be helpful.
Las Vegas Raiders win total picks: Over 6.5 wins (-118 or better)
The Las Vegas Raiders won only six games last season but seem destined to reach at least seven this year.
The organization went through a lot of changes last season and as Ziegler and McDaniels continue to build out the team in their image, things should go a lot smoother this time around.
While there are questions about Jimmy Garoppolo, he has been very good at winning games as a starting NFL quarterback with a record of 53-21 in the league.
While the supporting cast might not be quite as strong as it was in San Francisco, it seems likely that the Raiders will win at least seven games once more.

Perhaps the best young player on the Raiders is Maxx Crosby. He’s quickly developed a reputation for being a ferocious pass rusher.
With 12.5 sacks last season, Crosby has firmly placed himself among the best sack artists in the league.
If he can continue on this upward trajectory, it’s not hard to picture Crosby winning an NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award sometime during his career.
Whether that season is next year is the big question.
