Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Hunter Renfrow has been one of the more underrated and reliable wide receivers in the NFL since he entered the league in 2019.

Since joining the team, Renfrow has caught 244 passes for 2,629 yards and 17 touchdowns. He has established himself as one of the best No. 2 wide receivers in the NFL.

Renfrow dealt with injuries last season and did not make the impact he normally does, so now that he is healthy, he is hoping to have a bounce back season, similarly to the season he had in 2021 where he had over 1,000 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.

Renfrow has been involved in trade rumors, but as of now, is still a Raider, so today, we will take a closer look at what would make this season a successful one for him.

Renfrow is in an advantageous position as the No. 2 receiver in Las Vegas, as Davante Adams is going to take a lot of the attention away from him, which could result in him being open much more often.

Renfrow’s career yards per reception is 10.8, as he is exceptional at operating in the short field. He could become one of new quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo’s favorite targets as he can get open on slants and crossing routes, and make plays after the catch.

Renfrow caught 51 passes for first downs in 2021, tied for 17th of all receivers in the league, showing that if the quarterback throws him the ball, he will move the chains. He should be an efficient receiver once again if he is healthy in 2023.

One thing that could disrupt Renfrow’s rhythm is the addition of Jakobi Meyers, who could end up taking targets away from him. If Meyers plays on the outside and Renfrow plays in the slot, however, they could still each put up respectable numbers and keep the offense functional.

Renfrow’s season should be successful as long as he can stay healthy. He has become an increasingly important figure in the Raiders’ offense in the last few seasons, and a consistent 700-800 yard season with five or six touchdowns would be a solid bounce- back season.
