WARNING! Potential Spoilers For Married At First Sight Season 16 Ahead!

Married At First Sight season 16 features five Nashville-based couples, and it's time to talk about which ones will remain married after the experiment. Dr. Pepper Schwartz and Pastor Calvin Roberson have arranged dozens of blind marriages, with Pepper responsible for matching several early success stories, including Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner from Married At First Sight season 1. Since 2014, hundreds of individuals have been chosen to find love through the unconventional method, although only a few MAFS duos have managed to avoid divorce as of 2023.

The Married At First Sight season 16 cast was first announced in October 2022. The first three episodes of Lifetime's newest rendition showed the five new couples tying the knot within seconds of meeting: Kirsten Grimes and Shaquille Dillon, Jasmine Secrest and Airris Williams, Nicole Lilienthal and Christopher Thielk, Gina Micheletti and Clint Webb, and Domynique Kloss and Mackinley Gilbert. As hard as the Married At First Sight cast and crew try to keep spoilers like Decision Day under wraps, it isn't easy to stop information leaks in the modern Internet age.

Only One MAFS Season 16 Couple Said Yes On Decision Day

If spoilers provided by the Instagram account MAFSfan are correct, only one Married At First Sight season 16 couple decided to continue their marriage past Decision Day. Early frontrunners Nicole and Chris bumped heads as they navigated through the eight-week social experiment, but they made up and moved forward at the end of the day. "The one couple that stayed married on Decision Day is Chris and Nicole," MAFSfan shared in an Instagram Story, and even declared, "They are still together as of [January 2023]!"

One MAFS Season 16 Couple Separated Before Decision Day

True to earlier predictions, Domynique and Mackinley split before Decision Day. In a shocking mid-season episode, Mackinley and Domynique revealed to Pastor Cal that their age difference, inability to compromise, and discussion of their living situation were too much to handle, and they called off the experiment. However, this mid-season twist was predicted weeks previously, due to careful observation.

Although the other four couples arrived at the finale's outdoor location in similar garments, Domynique and Mackinley were edited to appear as though they were in the same place. MAFS rumors swirled that Domynique and Mackinley were booted from the experiment by Married At First Sight season 16 producers. They weren't kicked off, but predictions of a mid-season breakup were correct.

Although Clint and Airris displayed some subtle red flags, it's hard to tell which marriages are destined to crumble and which couples learn to truly thrive despite the constant presence of cameras. Hopefully, Nicole and Chris retain their initial connection to remain the fan favorites of Married At First Sight season 16, but it would be nice to see another duo agree to stay married at the end of the experiment. Due to the alleged kiss between Dominyque and Clint, it's not likely Gina and Clint, but hopefully, the other two MAFS couples can pull it together.

Married At First Sight season 16 airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.
