SEX OBJECTS TO SEAL OFF A MARRIAGE

From the time John and Sharon met, John was very hesitant about sex. Since they met at a crusade, Sharon thought it was because he was following the teachings of his faith that do not allow one to have sex before marriage.

After 3 years of dating, they finally got married and John started making excuse after excuse to avoid sex even on their honeymoon. Sharon finally cornered him and asked him to be straight with her. John told her that “a sheep knocked him down there’ and he cannot ‘function’(he is impotent). John however says that the “scientists” have come up with sex objects that do the same job.  Sharon is wondering if this is a reason enough for her to cancel the marriage since she cannot get the ‘real deal’?

WHAT DOES THE LAW SAY?

By law, when two people get married, the marriage must be ‘sealed’ (confirmed) with sex. This is known as consummation. (The first act of sex after getting married).

This first time, must be ‘all natural’; No toys, objects, or other body parts such as fingers, togues, etc. It must be organs made for this purpose only. If it turns out that the husband cannot function, or that it is impossible for the wife to be ‘accessed’ then the marriage has not been ‘sealed’ or consummated.

In this case, the aggrieved spouse like Sharon can ask the court to cancel the marriage and treat it as if they never got married in the first place(This is called an annulment)
