David Cameron’s brother, Barrister Alexander Cameron, dies at 59

In Case You Missed It

Brother of former British Prime Minister David Cameron, barrister Alexander Cameron, passed away.

Alexander
battled cancer since 2020 and passed away at the age of 59.
Cancer had forced him to leave the bar before his passing on Wednesday. According to The Sun UK, Alex’s chambers, Three Raymond Buildings, announced his passing in a statement on Wednesday.

“Chambers announces Alexander Cameron KC’s passing with great sadness.

“Alex was a highly regarded and motivating head of these Chambers, and during his illustrious career, he was regarded as one of the best silks at the Criminal Bar.
He will be sorely missed, and our deepest sympathies are extended to his wife Sarah, their children Imogen and Angus, as well as his extended family.

The statement stated that “details of a memorial service will be announced in due course.” The deceased was described as a “phenomenon” with “enthralling advocacy skills” when she was made a Queen’s Counsel at the age of 39. Alexander may have also encouraged David to run for office and assisted him in his ascent to that position in 2010.
