Police, firefighters and paramedics from Arlington Heights responded about 2:09 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2023 to a report of a crash with injuries involving an SUV into a storefront in a strip mall at Scruples Hair Technique, 915 East Rand Road in Arlington Heights.
Initially the call was reported to involve a person trapped, but there was no prolonged entrapment at the scene, and there were no significant injuries reported.
Firefighters and paramedics on arrival discovered a Honda SUV about half-way through the storefront with serious damage to the brick base, window frame, and glass door. Several internal furnishings were also damaged.
An official at the scene reported that people involved at the scene at the time of the crash refused transportation by paramedics.
A board-up company responded immediately to begin work to secure the business.
