NEW DELHI: The
Telangana high court’s order to hand over the probe in the MLApoaching case from state-appointed SIT to the
CBI will not be implemented for now with the Supreme Court on Monday saying that status quo to be maintained in the case on the ongoing probe.
While hearing an appeal filed by the state government assailing the order of the high court for CBI probe in the case, a bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and M M Sundresh observed that it has been a thumb rule that status quo be maintained in a sub-judice matter and it is applicable in the case also.
After a very brief hearing, the apex court posted the case to July 31.
