The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has declared Tinubu Bola Ahmed of the All Progressives Congress, APC as the president-elect with 8,794,726 while Abubakar Atiku of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP polled 6,984,520 and Peter Obi of the Labour Party received 6,101,533 votes.
Describing the election as keenly contested, the chief returning officer for the presidential election and chairman of INEC, Prof Mahmood Yakubu is to present the certificate of return to the president-elect and the vice president-elect, Kashim Shetimma 3pm, Wednesday, 1st March 2023.
A total of 25,286,616 were accredited, however 24,965,218 voted as 939,278 votes were rejected.
