The time has come! Go Dairy Free reported that Reese’s could finally come out with Plant-Based Peanut Butter Cups, making their dairy-free debut.

The all-new Reese’s Plant-Based Peanut Butter Cups are made with the classic peanut butter filling in all of their products and covered with an oat and rice-based chocolate.

Go Dairy Free reported that some online shoppers have already seen the treats on Rite-Aid’s website, but they were likely prematurely posted. However, the plant-based cups are expected to his stores soon but Go Dairy Free was able to obtain some details already like the ingredients, nutrition, pricing, and certifications.

The Reese’s Plant-Based Peanut Butter Cups will be a 2-cup pack for $2.49 at Rite-Aid and are expected to launch for a limited time at other retailers in the United States. Reese’s Plant-Based Peanut Butter Cups are Certified Vegan, Non-GMO Verified, and Certified Kosher Parve. The cups are dairy-free, egg-free, gluten-free, tree nut-free, vegan, and vegetarian.

The plant-based food market is booming, and research suggests it could make up 7.7 percent of the global protein market by 2030. With a value of $29.4 billion in 2020, experts suggest that the plant-based foods market could have a value of over $162 billion by the end of the decade.
