Pennsylvania Family Who Died By Suicide Pact Were ‘Ardent’ Trump Supporters and Couldn’t Handle His Election Loss

Police in Pennsylvania found a horrific scene when they entered the backyard of a home in York County: an entire family shot dead in what appears to be a suicide pact. Among the dead, a mother and daughter who loved bowling and were both devout Christian conservatives, say people who knew the family.

Morgan Daub, 26, her parents James Daub, 62, and her mother, Deborah Daub, 59, were found dead on the ground in the backyard of their home on the morning of Jan. 25, after police responded to a welfare request from a neighbor, NBC News reports.

Perhaps the most shocking aspect of this is that the Daubs were all dedicated supporters of Donald Trump and quite obviously, they were upset over his loss.

Talking to NBC News Pennsylvania resident Bret Stabley, said that the Daubs, who were all conservative Christians, were “very, very huge” Trump supporters, Raw Story reports. He added that the churchgoing family “was never shy about letting anybody know what their beliefs were when it came to religion and politics. Especially Morgan and Deborah, whom Stabley described as “very, very huge” supporters of the former president.

“They were just so hell-bent on Trump winning, like this could be the end if he doesn’t,” notes Stabley, who runs the pro shop at Bowlers Supply in York, Pennsylvania. Both Deborah and Morgan Daub were longtime customers.

Morgan, he noted tended to keep to herself.

“Morgan didn’t have a lot of words to say,” he added, noting that he believed Morgan, whom he said was “very meek and quiet” and “very bright,” was homeschooled by her mother, who frequently spoke on her behalf.

A neighbor of the Daubs, who wished to remain anonymous confirmed that the family was deeply religious and their yard was “littered” with pro-Trump signs during the 2020 election season.

There’s no evidence to suggest that the family’s suicide is connected to Trump’s election loss but so far police have provided few details other than that it appears the family made a “joint decision” to take their own lives.

“Police believe Deborah Daub shot and killed her husband and then was shot and killed by Morgan, who died by suicide,” per NBC News. “Police said there were no signs of forced entry or struggle and no evidence that anyone else had been present. An investigation into the deaths has been closed.”

The family did leave some notes and documents behind. According to Detective Timothy Fink in a statement to NBC News Friday Deborah Daub left behind a written document that was signed on January 19, where “she speaks of a joint statement” by her and Morgan to end their lives. Daub refers to “the evil that has mounted against Morgan,” but didn’t go into further detail, Fink added.

Morgan and her father also left notes describing how the family planned to do the shootings and made other preparations, including the care of the family dog and handling their assets. The notes were dated January 24.

The deaths have left the neighbor in “shock and disbelief” that this happened “so close to home.”

Police were alerted to the home, after a neighbor heard three gunshots fired off in quick succession on Jan. 24.

Obviously, the Daub family was fearful of something but I find it almost unbelievable that they would place all their faith in a man who surrounded himself with venal charlatans who called themselves evangelicals whose only obvious god was money.

This family may not have understood this and Trump and his empty vessel minions left them morally bankrupt.

Tragic.
