Following a two-week hiatus, CBS releases a new Young Sheldon season 6 clip strongly hinting at when Mandy gives birth to her and Georgie's child. Despite being a fairly new character in The Big Bang Theory spin-off, only introduced in season 5, Mandy has become a member of the Cooper family. After learning about her unexpected pregnancy, she moved in with Meemaw who started taking care of her. Meanwhile, Georgie has remained loyal and devoted to her even though they aren't in a romantic relationship. But they will have to finally figure out their situation soon since their child will soon be born.
A new Young Sheldon season clip shared by Spoiler TV strongly hints at when Mandy gives birth, and it's quickly approaching. Watch the video below:
The episode titled "Ruthless, Toothless and a Week of Bed Rest" comes after Young Sheldon's latest mini-hiatus. The outing appears to be worth the wait for those closely following Georgie and Mandy's story, however, as the nearing arrival of their child means they need to decide what their future will look like after maintaining a casual relationship the last few months.
What Mandy Giving Birth Means For Her & Georgie’s Romance
Mandy and Georgie's relationship wasn't referenced in The Big Bang Theory, but that isn't exactly a bad thing because Young Sheldon isn't beholden to any narrative turn when it comes to developing their story. Because of this, it's arguably one of the more interesting plots that the family comedy has come up with in the last couple of years. Aside from giving Georgie an arc of his own, it also involves the whole Cooper family because it deals with George and Mary's first grandchild. Mandy has been mostly dealing with Meemaw and Georgie, but once her baby is born, it's likely that the rest of the clan will have more interactions with her, potentially leading to her own parents also getting involved.
It's worth noting, however, that regardless of how Young Sheldon decides to move Georgie and Mandy's story, their split is already pre-determined. As revealed by Georgie's The Big Bang Theory appearance, he has had multiple ex-wives, meaning that he won't be able to maintain his relationship with the mother of his firstborn. It's also worth mentioning that there was no mention of Georgie having a kid in the nerd-centric sitcom, so there's still a possibility that they lose the baby, especially since it seems like Mandy is having some pregnancy issues as seen in the clip. The official synopsis for "Ruthless, Toothless and a Week of Bed Rest" even reveals that she's advised to go on bed rest, hinting at the delicacy of her situation.
Elsewhere in the upcoming Young Sheldon episode is Sheldon meeting his new school rival, which means that he's unlikely involved with what's going on with Mandy. But as seen in their limited interactions, the socially-inept genius is quite fond of her potential future sister-in-law. When she gives birth, however, it will be interesting to see what his general attitude will be toward the latest addition to his family. Young Sheldon season 6 airs Thursdays on CBS.
