The Bahamas’ Atlantis Paradise Island Is Launching a New Food Festival

By: Caribbean Journal Staff - January 3, 2023 - 4:46 pm

The Atlantis Paradise Island resort is launching a major new Caribbean food festival this March.

The inaugural Nassau Paradise Island Wine & Food Festival will run from March 15-March 19, 2023, a five-day festival showcasing top chefs, sommeliers, bartenders and TV culinary personalities.

That will include Aaron Sanchez, Andrew Zimmern and Michael White (who is opening a new eatery at Atlantis this year), among others.

The event will also feature music superstar Wyclef Jean, who will perform at the event’s “Jerk Jam” on March 18.

Other features range from an Ice Cream Social to a series of Celebrity Chef wine lunches and dinners.

The festival will close with a closing night “Sugar and Spice” party at The Cove pool, hosted by Duff Goldman and DJ Kim Lee from Netflix’s Bling Empire.

The festival will highlight The Bahamas’ growing culinary power, along with generating awareness for the resort’s Atlantis Blue Project Foundation.

It also puts the spotlight on the dynamic culinary movement in Nassau and Paradise Island, which has been in the midst of a gastronomic renaissance in recent years.
