Raiders LT Kolton Miller named Pro Bowl snub by Pro Football Focus

The Raiders had three Pro Bowl selections in 2022 and that included Josh Jacobs, Davante Adams and Maxx Crosby. That seems like the right amount for the Raiders, who sit at 6-8 on the season.

But should any other player for the Raiders have made the Pro Bowl? The answer is yes.

In a recent article by Pro Football Focus, they listed the biggest Pro Bowl snubs. That list included Kolton Miller, who has allowed only three sacks all season long. Here is what the site had to say about Miller not making the Pro Bowl this season:

“Miller has developed into one of the top pass-blockers in the NFL after a rough rookie season, producing a pass-blocking grade of 80.0 or higher in each of the past three campaigns.

This year, he has allowed just three sacks, three hits and 22 hurries from 488 pass-blocking snaps. Compare that to Orlando Brown Jr., who made the squad ahead of him despite giving up four sacks, seven hits and 32 hurries from 616 pass-blocking snaps, and Miller clearly has a case to be in the squad.”

Miller was better last season, but that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t get some consideration for the Pro Bowl. But with the Chiefs having one of the best records in the league, it’s clear that the voters valued that more with Orlando Brown Jr.

While it’s ultimately not a big deal that Miller didn’t make the Pro Bowl, it’s nice to see him get some recognization as one of the best offensive tackles in the NFL.
